    Description

    Please read entire listing before responding as this is a very unusual listing. I have for sale this set of TWO, 1950 scrap books with  collections of
    over 330, year 1950
    get well greeting cards, plus post card that all belong to one
    original owner.
    These are two very old scrap books that were put together for a very loved older lady with many friends. They are 12" by 13" each.
    The best I can gather is that her name was Ann and lived in Waco, TX at 1201 Brook Street in February of  1950 and all cards are from that year.
    If anyone knows the family of this wonderful woman, they may be interested but my search was limited as I cannot determine her last name on the one cent postcard which I will include.
    The scrap book covers themselves are extremely old and are in poor condition but the beautiful floral design on the covers are really nice and may be able to be salvaged. The cards themselves are excellent and have been pasted to the pages so it may not be possible to remove them from the pages themselves unless you know of a way.  They are only on one side of each page  of the scrap books..  You will be bidding on both of the scrapbooks as one lot.   I am not interested in selling any separately and all sales are final and sold as is.
    Some of these cards are really unusual.  If you have questions, please let me know.  There are too many pages for me to take pictures of each page so have given an overview of several of the pages. The cards are in really nice condition and of course all have been signed with little personal notes, etc.  This was a very loved and respected lady.
    I have never seen a collection quite this complete and put together with much care.  I myself have owned this for over 40 years and have gotten many years of enjoyment just looking at them and since my name is Ann also, I sort of felt I was being the steward of the collection until it was time for another person to take over.
    After over 50 years of saving and collecting everything, it is time to downsize.  I have many other items for sale and will gladly combine shipping when possible.  These two scrap books are quite heavy.  I will pack very carefully.
