British Army 44 Pattern Water Bottle
First pattern WWII produced Aluminum Water Bottle with steel cap secured with a chain. Post war bottles used caps secured by a cord.
These bottles were introduced with the 1944 Pattern Web Equipment as Stores Reference A6/AA 0025.
Used from end of WWII, British occupation of Dutch East Indies, Korea, Malaya, Suez, Borneo, etc.  Also used by the French in Indochina.
The cap is dented as pictured but screws on and off as it should.
Includes original rubber gasket.
